Update - after a quick trip in February 2024 I’m adding that the train from Paris to Barcelona is a breeze and (if you’re anything like me) you’ll barely have caught up on emails before you arrive, with ok wifi for most of the trip. Barcelona-Sants train station is a little bare so don’t leave your souvenir or snack shopping until the last minute if you take the train when departing. We stayed again at the Hoxton Poblenou (and snacked on the amazing olive lemonade and jamón ibérico crisps but I’m sad to say the gummy bears are no more), wandered Park Güell, lunched at Mercado de La Boqueria (this time for the coconut & pineapple juice, a plate of anchovies and piles of Spanish ham and manchego), dined at Lluritu 2 (the other location of Lluritu), got dessert at Kakigori and enjoyed the wonderful neighbourhood atmosphere at Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia.
