A Bevy of Swans
The best way to have Paris to yourself is to get up early. I’m not a morning person so wouldn’t lose sleep especially but when a 7am appointment across town pops up, crossing the empty Louvre courtyard is a nice bonus. The Seine was like glass as I strolled across Pont des Arts and waved at the bevy of swans gathered for breakfast, surprised by the number as I usually only ever see them in groups of two or three.
