I woke up Monday morning in Sydney with a full day to maximise, starting with a bus ride into town while accompanying my friend on her morning commute and imagining what everyday life would be like if I lived there. From the city centre I made a beeline to Bondi to make a decision I’ve been toying with for years: choosing a print from Aquabumps to hang in our home. Tyson was very patient with me as I texted over timezones for measurements, hesitated between horizontal and vertical and eventually chose a piece called upstream that needed a few hours to prepare. I had a long walk followed by lunch lined up so the timing was perfect, made even better when they offered to look after my belongings until I returned so I’d look less like Quasimodo under the weight of my huge handbag.
