A huge thank you to everyone who upgraded to a paid subscription last week, which enabled me to donate €250 to Médecins Sans Frontières in support of the important work they do around the world.
Very anxious also about the election results and now the upcoming poll in France. We return to the SW in October. We must all do our best to be brave and positive. Good luck with your boat licence efforts!
Thank you for making Paris seem so near and familiar. Of course, we visited just a month ago, and you've referenced two of our experiences, so I almost feel as if I could open my front door and find Paris at the threshold! We finally searched out the wonderful Arene de Lutece, and--less wonderful--found ourselves underwhelmed by our splurge dinner at Golden Poppy. I'm encouraged to hear the latter will try something new. I share your dismay over recent European elections. Carry on with kindness, Emily!
I spoke to the vendor at the Farmers Market and she said this Saturday she will have strawberries. So excited! I need to get the canning pot out of the basement and make sure I have enough lids ready for jam. Cherries are a few weeks away in Michigan so we have be happy with Costco cherries.

As always, I love reading your posts. ❤️❤️❤️ Carry on!
