What. A. Week.
I’m writing to you from Brisbane, where we’re spending 5 weeks on holiday. It’s been 3 years since I was last in Australia and so much has changed. We have a third child in tow, there was that pesky pandemic during which I attended multiple zoom weddings and funerals and now it’s time to reconnect with people and catch up on the last few years. It’s so nice to be ‘home’ where everything is familiar, I don’t offend people daily with language misunderstandings and the answer to everything is “no worries”. My husband and teenager are surprised by how laid back and easygoing everyone is here and question if this was my upbringing, why am I so highly strung (answer: 12 years in London and 6 years in France).
