Hot Chocolate Season

The flower beds have been updated with their autumn floral theme in the Jardin du Luxembourg and the enormous chrysanthemums in the pots lining the walls and staircases couldn’t look more beautiful in the golden light that’s been streaming through. The park now closes at 5pm which means it’s no longer an option to walk through on the way home from school pickup, the enthusiastic whistling of the guards as they clear everyone out to lock the gates starting earlier and earlier each week, so we walk home on the pavement which my two year old daughter hates, subtly shouting '“oh no, people!” as soon as anyone approaches from the opposite direction.
