Because I procrastinated on a ridiculous amount of things last week for “when I’ll have more time” one of the children was predictably home sick all this week, which meant a juggling act of schedules, doctors appointments and just plain old cancelling some fun things. Judging by the state of the paediatrician’s waiting room ‘tis the season for a doctor’s appointment and a runny nose.
After rescheduling multiple times I finally made it into my son’s class to sing Christmas carols in English and completely topple the world view of 24 little Frenchies by explaining that in Australia Santa arrives with kangaroos pulling his sleigh, or occasionally just surfs into town.
