The days are marginally longer, the crocuses have sprung up and I’ve spied blossoms all over town. The magnolia tree buds are larger every day and I glance at them each time I walk past to check I haven’t missed any action, texting with local friends who are also on ‘bloom watch’. It’s supposed to freeze this weekend so it’ll be nerve-racking to see if all these gorgeous future flowers get damaged.
