I’m not sure if Paris was extra beautiful this week or if I just haven’t walked my usual routes for a while but between the cool weather and the bright sunshine she was breathtaking. Along the Seine it was calm and quiet with barely a ripple most mornings as I crossed the Pont des Arts to work and in the Louvre courtyard a lone busker serenaded me with a tune so melancholy I nearly cried. The winter jasmine, snow drops and hellebores are blooming across town and I’m on the lookout for the first magnolia buds, grasping for signs of Spring.
