2 weeks ago I jumped on a plane last minute (bought the tickets Saturday and flew Sunday), thankful to my husband for stepping seamlessly into the breech while I went home to Australia be with family.
Hi—as always, thanks for weaving your travels and adventures into a great read for all of us. I love every post! Can you tell me the location of the gorgeous marina/harbor in the photo you took while in the airplane?
Emily, My sincere condolences on your aunt's passing. It was good that you were able to jump on a plane to visit her and express your love for her. Kudos to a husband who jumped in to do all the things you do to keep your family running smoothly. Although a visit that arose for a sad task, it was good that you were to do things in Brisbane and Sydney. ... We were fortunate to stay at the Shangri-La during Sydney's VIVID one year. Overlooking the Opera House and the bridge with light displays was absolutely amazing. At my age and with a bad bad the climb up the hill was difficult, but the hotel was oh-so-worth-it. Such good memories! ... I find that losing family and friends makes me more grateful for the days and blessings I have. May that be the case with you. Warm regards.
Sad reason for a visit but am glad you made it to see your aunt. Sydney is beautiful to visit when the weather is good. Melbourne is wonderful to live in. We arrived in France on Friday and just settling in the Lot for 3 weeks. Did the village market yesterday, the obligatory shop at E LeClerc in Cahors today and tomorrow we are visiting Toulouse so will be buying confit duck and goose rillettes from Marche Victor Hugo and cheese from Fromagerie Xavier. It is always good to return. 😊
Emily,
I'm so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. May her memory be a blessing..
Emily,
May the memories of your beloved aunt bring you solace.
Emily, my condolences to you and your family. I am so happy to hear you were able to get back swiftly. I hope your luggage was filled with TimTams! xx
